About Us

Zia Credit Union is not really "about us." It's actually all about you!

We are a nonprofit, cooperative financial institution owned and run by you, our depositing members! Back in 1955, we were organized to serve and provide our members with a safe place to save and borrow at reasonable rates. And to this day, Zia members pool their funds to make loans to one another. Our volunteer board is made up of -you guessed it- members and is elected to serve by members. All planning, product and service development, operations, and financial management is conducted solely for the benefit of you, our member!

Sounds awesome! How do I become a member?

We're glad you asked! There's really nothing to it at all. Membership is available to those who live, work or worship in Los Alamos County, Rio Arriba County, Taos County, and Santa Fe County. Membership is also available to their immediate families.
