Brief description of essential responsibilities:
Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. This includes processing and monitoring payments and expenditures and maintaining and monitoring the vendor data base system. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will ensure that the credit union finances are accurate and up to date; staff is reimbursed timely and in an appropriate manner, and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.
Special knowledge, skill and ability requirements:
Knowledge in accounting.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
Ability to operate office equipment.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve.
Strong organizational skills.
Professional, well-developed communication skills are essential for projecting a positive image as a representative for the credit union.
Education and experience required: High school diploma or equivalent and at least three years experience that would support the ability to accomplish responsibilities of the position.
Working experience with computer applications.
