Brief description of essential responsibilities: Develop, manage, and maintain reliable accounting information and reporting on income, expenses, assets, liabilities, and capital for management planning and decision making and for fulfillment of financial reporting requirements. Reconcile GL accounts. Manage the activities of the accounting department and staff. Ensure that reports, accounts, systems, policies and practices adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

Special knowledge, skill and ability requirements: Understand and operate all equipment used within the Credit Union. Ability to interpret a manual, policy, and procedures containing new information for dissemination to other personnel within the Credit Union.

Education and experience required: Bachelor’s Degree, or a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least 3 years experience in related field. General understanding of administrative duties and policies. Working experience with most office equipment. Be willing to further education.
